Yes! I said it! Another giveaway! And this tiiiiiime...it is for a book! A book written by my favorite author, Louise Rennison! It is called "Withering Tights" an is absolutely hilarious! I managed to accidentally order a used paperback version of it so I am going to give it away to one lucky person!

This is a really easy giveaway, so just comment! And also tell me if you've ever read any of her stuff! I died over her Georgia Nicholson series and it's still my favorite!

Yes, I said it. I, Lady Kay, am awake at five in the morning. Well, 5:40. I'm currently watching the news and they are saying that California (where I live, in case you guys didn't know. :P ) has the highest gas prices in the nation...Lovely. I'm regretting buying the 'fast' car instead of the hybrid car...

Magnets? You can never have too many souvenir magnets!

I've been collecting souvenir magnets for about a year or so and by now...I think I have over a hundred! I figured that it was about time I share my largest collection with you guys! Plus, I really needed something to take my mind off of Scooter, so I thought this would be a nice idea. I'm really, really missing him right now...Anyways, my whole plan is to have an awesome collection to display on my fridge in my first apartment! Originally, I kept them stuck to my metal desk, but then I ran out of room so now they unfortunately are stored under my bed in a box. :( Almost all of these I have swapped for, but a lot of them were also sent to me by friends! I'm very proud of them all! I'm not going to show you them all, but I'll show you the various types as well as some favorites!

Here is the whole lot, housed in a 'Blowfish' boot box! Fits perfectly under my bed!

Of course, Paris first, since I'm obsessed with Paris! ANYTHING Paris! I just love it all!

Kazakhstan and Melaka!

Washington D.C. and Quebec rubber names! Love this style!

New York! The two large ones are from my mom's last trip and the small one was sent from a friend!

Scotland and Denmark rubber magnets. Again, love rubber mangnets!

London!

Canada and Seattle flat magnets!

Tahiti (gecko!), Spain, and two Canadian rubber ones!

Rhodes and Sardinia flip flops!

I love this Toronto one!

Matroyshka dolls (which I also collect in general!) and Dutch clogs!

Wales! Another favorite!

And lastly, some US ones! Standard state flat magnets with facts about the state pictures and three magnets from Hawaii! I love the sea turtle and Hello Kitty one!

What do ya'll think? Do any of you collect souvenir magnets? Do you actually keep them on your fridge?

Oh! And on an un-related note, is there anyone who would be willing to do a small swap? I have a friend ranting and raving about how amazing Stroopwafels are and I would kill to try one!

OH! And also another un-related thing! I making custom address labels again! Shoot me an email if you guys are interested and I will send you some samples! :D

Correspondent Call!

SO! I have decided to post a letter-friend call! Something more fun, quirky, and personable than a pen pal website!

Now, what do I need from you guys? I need you to want to find a wonderful, new friend via snail mail! I've been dreaming of doing something like this for quite some time and now I am finally going to be able to! I've got it all planned out and I'm so excited! What was I saying about needing something from you guys? Oh yeah!

Submissions!

So, if you'd like your ad posted, shoot me an email at: ladykayyblog@gmail.com and we will get you up here! All of the adds (with photos if you choose to use them!) will be posted on one page for all to look at! I hope this works as well as I want it to!

Horrible, horrible news.

I am in tears as I type this but today I love my baby. Not my human baby (because I well, have none.), but my shelled baby. We are assuming that Scooter passed on sometime last night or yesterday and have no idea specifically why. We were thinking age, but he was only 8 years old, according to who I got him from, and then we thought an animal attack, but there were no signs...I simply just found him burrowed down in the ground...dead. I would have mentioned something in my first post today, but I was unaware of what happened had happened at that point in time.

Anyways, I just wanted to post this up to let you all know. I know some of you are big fans of my little man. He's currently buried in a show box in my yard, no 'tombstone' is made yet, unfortunately.

Who would've thought I would be so distraught over such a small animal? I mean, the little guy was a big part of my life and I miss him so much! I miss walking outside in the morning only to see him motoring about the yard and I miss him RUNNING towards me when I had a plate piled high with his special dindins...Oh goodness. :(

Anyways, yes, that's what happened. Needless to say, I am not exactly handling it well what with my PTSD towards death.

I wanted to make sure that you all know that I'm not asking for sympathy! I just want my friends to know that a prominent and super loved character in my life and on this blog has passed.

YAY! MAIL!

Unfortunately, being me, I completely blanked on photographing the rest of my outgoing mail, but I have lots of various things that are going to be shown on this post!

Up first are my purchases this week! :D

As some of you may know, I am a COMPLETE nail polish freak! And on a whim, I went into my favorite beauty supply store and found this polish on sale! It's from the brand 'China Glaze' and is called 'Kalahari Kiss' from their Safari line. Funky, right?

Now here is my swatch and then here is an even prettier swatch from Polishaholic's blog!

Bought some stamps! I went for the older 'Louisiana' stamps mostly because it was really busy and the people behind me were getting annoyed with how long I was taking...

I always like when they give me those little vellum sleeves to put the stamps in!

THENNNN....I picked up some more pain chips! Free, of course! Along with some toothpaste and a new tooth brush, but you guys probably don't want to see that! haha.

Oh, and I spied some Hello Kitty footie pajamas in my size but I somehow managed to resist buying them!

NOW FOR MY OUTGOING! Yay!

To a special someone! I LOVE MOOMIN!

To my new friend Nicole!

Now for incoming!

From my lovely Jojo!

She informed that if you place your stamp upside down, it means "I love you." How cool is that?!

And sent me a friendship bracelet that I will never take off! I LOVE friendship bracelets!

A awesome FISHY letter from Tehren!

And she sent me cute notecards!

Elaine sent me a lovely postcard from Japan!

A gorgeous purple-y letter from Sabine! Love the dot stamps!

And just for fun...something I saw at the store! They're stickers!

And lastlyyyy...I want to share my new hair! I had it cut and Brenna (my very closest friend outside of an envelope!) colored it a bit! I love it! Even if it is a bit short. :/

Well, that's it for today! How has everyone been? Are you getting excited for Lovely Letters?
