It's time for a new review! I don't know why i bothered making a list because I haven't stuck to it! Today, we're going to have a looksie at
Miss Cline Press!

As you'll notice, these are really, really big sets! I was delighted at the size! It's around 11 1/2 by 8 1/2 give or take! PLENTY of room for writing a nice letter! As you can see from
her shop she makes several designs and also makes several different products ranging from
stationary sets to
note pads to
note cards to
signs,
gift tags, and
original art!

Okay, so i fell asleep before I could finish this review, but oh well! SO! Miss Cline Press! Woohoo!
As you can see from the photo above, these sets (and all of the products it seems.) are all hand-printed and packaged. The paper is of great quality and has a teeny bit of texture to it. I really, really enjoy the size! Gives me more room to branch out!
What about the bleed-through, you ask?
Shown:
- black rubber stamp.
- red fountain pen.
- lime green Stabilo pen.
- standard black BIC pen.
- pencil.
- Sharpie marker.
Backside:
The bleed through is a bit of a problem, but honestly, it's really not that bad! The darker pens and ink pens do bleed a teensy bit, but what can you do? I say, the paper quality is fab, so suck it up! haha.
Now lets talk price. I really suggest buying in bulk because it seems like the pricing gets better the more sets you buy. For example, you can get two sets for $22 and three sets for $30...Buy more, save more.
Before I end this review, I want to tell you a bit about the company! :)
Miss Cline Press is Ana Karina Luna's 3rd professional endeavor, started on March 2008. The 1st was in 1995, a B.A in Architecture and Urbanism. While in school, she got hooked on Visual Communication, particularly posters, encouraged by an award on a design contest. She moved to the U.S. in 1999 and proceeded to endeavor #2, an A.A.S. in Graphic Design, fulfilling her old interest.
In 2007, guided by her love for typography and poster design, she brought two presses from Conway Springs (KS) to Seattle to nurture her soul and creativity back into life through "medicinal" printing. She inherited a complete studio from her husband's family.
In August 2007, Karina took 5 days off to attend TYPECON. During a carving class, she printed from a block on an old iron hand press. She was hooked!
It was so that her in-laws had letterpress machines sitting around in their Kansas newspaper office. Dreamy as it sounded, she made plans to bring them to Seattle. Two printing beasts, scorted by a full letterpress shop, arrived in March 2008.
For 4 generations, a series of Mr. Clines stood behind those presses. Miss Cline Press is now the 5th generation and far from a dream, it is as real as the savaged wood carving hanging in front of the shop, memorializing a curly-haired woman behind a charming antique flywheel full of history.
